Nice trail to summit of Mt Greylock from the Greylock Glen. Make a loop by returning down the Thunderbolt Ski Trail. You can also ascend/descend Gould's and loop with Cheshire Harbor Trail via West Mountain Rd parking.
Great trail, strenuous for last mile. Very scenic.
Great hike, very difficult going up because it is very steep. Going down was a breeze, but be careful.
3/19/16 weather was perfect. Temp in the 30's but felt mild. View at the summit was definitely worth the hike. Maximum visibility due to cloudless bright blue sky !
Great trail! Started from Gould Road. Once you pass through the brooks is when you really start to ascend. It's gets rockier as you get closer to the summit and some parts of the trail can be narrow. Overall I really enjoyed it. Not a lot of people so I basically had the trail to myself.
Descended this trail from Mt. Greylock Summit after ascending via the Cheshire Harbor Trail. Gould's trail was a nice gradual descent. In some sections encountered heavy growth. There is an interesting tree, hollowed out that you can walk inside. Watch the signs to make sure you get back to the right parking area.
