3-4 mile hike through Callahan State Park, Framingham, MA This is just one of many routes that are possible through Callahan State Park. There are trails that criss-cross throughout the park and the adjacent Sudbury Conservation Land. The first trail - Pipeline - is probably the steepest trail along the hike. The trails are well marked, and there are trail maps placed through-out to help. Most of the trails are wide and pretty level, and dogs are allowed on many of them. The trails wind through both pine and hardwood forests. There is one small pond and several wetland areas to explore. Don't be surprised if you come across some dogs, especially around the pond. Also, horseback riding is allowed within the park. It is possible to follow the Pipeline trail directly back the the parking lot and avoid the Baiting Brook section. Some sections of the Baiting Brook trails are narrower than those found elsewhere in the park.
