Nice trails but, were busy on a very mild October day. Will definitely go back.
Great local place to go for a shorter, moderate/easy ride. Trails can be crowded on weekends with walkers and runners so biking is best during the week or early in the morning on weekends. Beautiful scenery and wildlife everywhere!
I went this summer with my daughter (15) and our dog (Iggy). This is a nice trail with a stream, woods, open fields and a short walk along a rarely (no houses) traveled road. We would do this again.
We horseback ride here frequently. Usually 6 mi you have to keep to walk or slow trot on the carriage roads but can get in great canters around the large fields. Prefer to go during the week as it is well used by bike riders, walkers, joggers, frisky golf players, and parents with strollers. Fantastic family place.
Loved it! It was raining today but we still had a blast walking the trails with a 5 year old and a 12 year old. As soon as we started our walk on a trail we spotted a Deer! Such an awesome experience for the kids! Want to do it again when the sun is shining
Great walking trails. They also have a rear view of the pond and cool stone buildings to explore.
great trails never really run into alot of people my dog loves it and beautiful views
Nice walk with beautiful scenery. $5 to park.
The trails are clearly marked and go from well groomed to almost bouldering. Had a great day out but It did get very crowded. We covered 9 miles and didn't even come close to completing it. We Will go back just probably for early morning to miss the crowds.
went here on a weekend in April and it was packed! really nice trail around the edge of the water and a cool mansion. they also have a disc golf course which was very busy.
Nice park. Lots of trails. Nice for a beginner. I would go again. Quite a few stuff left to explore.
What a jewel of a state park. Long trails with an assortment of terrains. Beautiful surroundings with lakes, ponds, bridges, and huge boulders to climb over. Hiked over 10 miles with friends. Trails marked good and free maps available at headquarters.
Beautiful place to hike. Paths are well maintained and there are a variety of wildlife.
It costs $5 to park!!
Dog friendly, easy hike
I started this trail off the access parking lot off Bay Rd. I didn't realize that it would be a mile walk in to begin the trail. I wandered around the ponds, wishing I'd had a map to carry with. I continued in a loop around/between the pods, not realizing how far I'd gone. I did this hike one day after school. I managed to walk about 7 miles in just a few hours. This was a very flat hike (added several miles because of the additional loops I chose). There are very few inclines and this is much more of a stroll through a park. Nice though!
