Ashley Reservoir Trail is a 3.3 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Holyoke, MA that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
I'm not sure who is posting the negative reviews, but this trail is great for walking, running, biking etc. Gravel paved path, wide enough to drive a car on. On a summer Tuesday evening there were a hundred or so people on the 3.3 mile trail. Enough that you pretty much saw a few people the whole time, but didn't feel cramped. Beautiful Lake with abundant wildlife. Safe place. Would highly recommend.
definitely beautiful but i probably wont return, the trails are covered in geese poop but they wont allow dogs, the directions took me in the maintenance entrance and everyone looked at me like i was crazy, but there are no signs maps or color coating on the paths so if you keep making the wrong turns you go in circles or end up at different entrances/exits, also the old people here are rude and ruin your vibes and the parking sucks they should just put a lot at the maintenance entrance
Very beautiful, peaceful and a lot of nature. The lake is a pretty site. I walked in very easy and went about a half mile in and hung my hammock up and jest enjoyed the peace of nature that surrounded me.
I wish they allowed dogs
Very easy & flat. It's nice to see all of Mother Nature during the walk.
Easy light walking trail, no incline, the trail is relatively straight forward, although there are opportunity to explore additional paths
Very nice level easy walk. Area very clean a real nice afternoon. Definitely will return!
Oh Lort! Yes there are snakes here.
Casual stroll with almost completely flat walkways. Some paths go through the reservoir which was interesting. Pretty scenery, lots of geese, ducks and other birds to watch. Popular spot with lots of friendly people to say 'hello' to. Great walk for people of all ages.
walking the path after 3pm, Thursdy, July 31, with my boyfriend up from the pumping station, he quickly missed stepping on a rattlesnake curled upon the grass.
A casual and scenic walk. Quiet, nature filled and very relaxing.
