Nice trail but lots of horse poop (my dog was a fan-- I was not). There are little trails branching off that just lead to homes so it was a little confusing. The water level this time of year is really low so the trails along the banks aren't really all that close to the water but walking on the dry beds was fun and the dogs enjoyed the small creeks that remained. Not well maintained right now, tons of thorn bushes growing into the trails.
Easy hike but path very hard to find once you get to reservoir
this was an easy hike, trail is very wide and not steep unless you plan to go off the path.
Solid trail. Must go off the path into the red area to get the great views on the reservoir.
less than a week ago a big tulip poplar fell perpendicular to the Falls - will the beavers or the DNR get there first! The mayapples and wild rhodedendrons are blooming this week.
The address given for this trail, 2724 traceys store rd, is bad. it leads to what looks like a trail but it is on the side of someone's yard. A sign at the roadside says no hunting fishing trapping or trespassing. Go a little further up the rd and there's probably a five car parking area. From there you can take a few trails around the water. No markers and due to the bad winter weather, there are many trees down on the trails. Went there yesterday, 4/10.
Great for a quick hike. Not very busy.
nice trail to feel out of touch. Dense woods an brush. Very nice hike for any skill level.
Today we hike the Prettyboy Reservoir. It was so beautiful and peaceful. We only saw 6 other hiker the 2 1/2 hours we hiked. Very easy hiking but well worth the time. We saw many different birds and other animals. We saw and heard my fish when we hiked down by the water. From this trailhead you have water on 3 sides of you so feel free to hike anywhere. This trail is close to our home so we will hike this trail again.
