This is a hike of Greenbury Point. Greenbury Point is by the Naval Academy golf course. There are two hikes here. One that is 3.3 miles(Nature Center and Tower Trails) and a 2 mile (Tower Trail). There is also a Nature Center here and an active rifle range in the area. There are signs posted when the range is active. The Nature Center trail is very over grown and can be a bit of a bushwhack at times. The tower trail is a dirt road and is used a lot by walkers, joggers and bike riders.

This trail wasn't what we were expecting. More of a service road than a trail, most of the trail is enclosed in overgrowth with a few spots to peak out at the water. The bay-side of the trail did offer more views of the water including a view of the bay bridge. Perhaps the most prominent feature of this trail are the three metal towers in the middle of the loop that really take away from the aesthetic of the hike. Overall this is a decent trail if you're in the area but I wouldn't make a trip out to go see this. We will not be doing this trail again.

This trail is extremely overgrown and NOT child friendly as much of the overgrowth is face high and thorny and some of the trail has STEEP DROP OFFS TO THE WATER with no guards. Wear off trail shoes and long sleeves.

Nice easy walk with views of the Severn, Annapolis, Naval Academy, and the Chesapeake Bay. We took or kids and dog. There is a cut through by the first radio tower to make it shorter if your kids start complaining:) If your take the northwestern section behind the Nature Center the certainly use bug spray or wear pants.
