Directions from Bethel, ME: Travel west on US 2 approximately 9 - 10 miles, turn south onto SR 113. Travel a few miles and look for trailhead just before crossing the Evans Brook Bridge. There are two Evans Brook Bridges. The terminus of this trail comes out by the second bridge.
We parked at the north trialhead. The first half mile was a little steep. 500 feet in a half mile. Fairly well maintained and nothing challenging. We walked back to the car along 113 which was super quick.
Nice trail. Short. Limited view of valley but worth the hike
Fun, short day hike with children ages 6 & 8. Steep little scurry with somewhat limited views from ledges just West of true summit. Refreshing swim in the Wild River across from the parking area when finished. Recommended family hike!
parked by evans brook bridge. Trail sign said 0.5 miles. Pretty steep climb thru most of trail. Not very good views at the top, but if you walk down to the lookout ledges below, there are some great views.
