Loved this walk but be careful where you step. Cool breezes coming from the North Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful views of the ocean.

Easy walk down and back with beautiful ocean views. It can get really windy out there though!

Awesome walk! Plan the tide accordingly or you will end up wet.

A very beautiful walk! It's easy, but not a fast one. You have to constantly watch where you are stepping, as the rocks are not entirely level at all, and there are gaps between them that you could twist an ankle in if you aren't careful. But nice for a family with children.

This is more of a walk than a hike; dont really need a hydration pack, poles or hiking boots; but, you do need to watch your footing on this wall. :-) This a beautiful out and back walk where you can sit at the lighthouse and enjoy the scenery and the boats passing by. A light jacket is helpful as this can be a very windy walk. If you plan this at low tide you probably wont get splashed!

A must if you are in Rockland. We went on a warm October late afternoon. The huge granite blocks making up this breakwater allow water to pass within the trail itself. Be careful as higher tides come in and cover some of the breakwater at times. Also be aware that sudden "splashes" come seemingly out of nowhere to get you wet. It is further to the lighthouse than it looks from the shore. Overall, a very special place to walk, and one that I will always remember.

If you are in Rockland, don't miss this one! Excellent short hike across an amazing breakwater built at the end of the 1800's. The bonus is the wonderful light house at the tip. Definitely worth the trip.

Scenic walk on breakwater in middle of Rockland Harbor.

Nice little walk out to the middle of Rockland harbor. Granite blocks make up this breakwater; therefore, walking is uneven. Caution should be used. Fishing off of the breakwater is allowed. Historic Lighthouse at end of 2 mile walk. A must see if you are in Rockland for the summer.
