Gorgeous walk but not a hike!
Easy scenic walk around the pond favorite part is walking on the boards where there trying to conserve the eco system! Adds a little adventure to the trip :) if your not afraid of heights take bubble mountain summit trail up the bubble mountain and come back down the bubble divide it leads you right back to this trail it's intimidating at first glance because you have to squeeze through and up a tiny gap but once your up it's easy peasy!
Rock portion is moderate and the boardwalk is lengthily.
Beautiful easy. Loop. Second half very rocky. Maybe hard for small kids
We rented bicycles in Bar Harbor and road to the carriage trails into and around Jordan Pond. We frequently got off our bikes to walk around, take pictures, and look at the beautiful views. Great bike ride that you can either ride in from town or take a bus from town, depending on how much time you have and the level of activity you are looking for.
Great for a run for the road side half of the trail. There are boulders to navigate and a boardwalk for a portion. Good hike for younger kids. Older kids may lose interest around 2.5 miles
Great loop. Nice easy bike ride. We went around Jordan pond and eagle lake on the carriage road.
beautiful and well kept trail. hiked it wearing my daughter.
As nice and easy as all say -- great trail to get oriented for even more exhilarating trails.
Pretty. But, heavily-trafficked. And, while flat, be prepared for varied terrain -- dirt paths, boulders, log walkways.
such a nice refreshing breeze, wonderful view and a nice mix of stable and rocky terrain, a bit crowded though.
Good hike, was not very difficult. Had already gone on 2, so it was good that it was easy. Great views and good for younger people.
Very flat but to boring. Went on rocks by the trail
A wonderful trail that follows the edge of the beautiful Jordan Pond, with great views of the surrounding peaks (including the Bubbles). The eastern half is mostly a very easy gravel path. Once you pass the picturesque bridge at the lake's northernmost point and start down the western side, it gets a little rocky and more challenging (nothing too difficult). You cover most of the last mile on wooden planks, adding a unique element to the hike. And once you are done, you can stop at Jordan House for their famous popovers and tea on the lawn by the lake.
Easy fun hike with great views from any location.
Beautiful trail and awesome views. Mostly shade. Walk on wood plank trail, fun for all ages.
Easy hike around the pond with great views of Jordan Pond, the Bubbles and the Jordan Cliffs. The west side has nearly a mile of log bridges that help make this trail much easier to walk around the pond. The trail starts at the Jordon House.
Access to the trail is at Get there early. This is a popular place for hiking and biking. The parking lot fills up quickly. There are bathrooms at the Jordon Pond Parking area.
