I'm not in great shape but I was able to do the shorter 2.5 mile loop to the Kentucky River overlook. The elevation difference was about 350 feet, going down for the first half and uphill to get back. Beware of the poison ivy that is abundant on the sides of the path.

Several different trail are available. The red trail is probably the most challenging but not really a challenge. It goes through the woods, very small inclines and declines. Small slippery rocks are throughout the trail. Green trail was very easy. Small waterfall and creek. Good for kids. I really enjoyed it also. Recommend the red trail

Trail is hard. I walk it usually everyday. This is considered a great challenge to get back into working out and getting fit.

This was my first time on this trail and I only went to the overlook and back. There is one main loop, but there are other connecting trails. The trail is heavily traveled including families with small children. Trail is clear with areas of gavel or wood chips, but it is mostly dirt with some mud if there has been rain in the past week or two. I enjoyed the river views from the overlook and I'm sure it will be even better in the fall.

Very nice trail with pretty sights. Not dog friendly. Only reason for 4 stars.

First time hiking here. Was very nice. I went in the middle of the day so it wasn't crowded, only encountered 3 people along the way. Definitely looking forward to going back
