The Cottonwood Trail in the River Pond area provides users with a short nature trail with educational information stations. Interpretive trail with many tree, plant, and wildlife viewing opportunities.
Good short trail. Good for a dog walk while camping.
The walk was very nice, but I would not call this a hiking trail, more like a walking path. The path is completely covered by trees, so it provides some nice shade. Unfortunately past campers have left their trash around, but it was still a pretty area.
This is a short, down-and-back nature trail that runs along part of the Big Blue River in Tuttle Creek State Park. It is adjacent to two camping areas, so it makes a nice morning or evening walk. The whole trail is shaded by trees.
