Great place to hike, run, and ride a bike.
As other person mentioned, location is wrong.
Type "Canal park Delphi, IN" to google map and you can find it.
Trail is paved by small crushed stone and there are many trees, so condition is very good. You can even run super hot noon of August.
Also it's historical area and there is a lot of small things to see.
Enjoy fun trail!
The trails were great but the map to get to the trail led us to the middle of a cornfield. You should plan to park at the Interpretive Center/Canal Park, or start at the end at Trailhead Park.
It was fine, but the stagnant water near the old mill resulted in lots of insects. I would not do this trail in the dead of summer again.
The trail starts at Trail Head Park just south of Delphi Indiana off highway 25. It's a very easy trail, wide with crushed stone to walk on, and pretty flat. I went in the heat of summer and I'm thinking of going back this fall for the colorfull leaves as most of the trail is through forested areas. The trail loops around the Canal Park with a working canal boat, museum, and other period buildings to see and walk through, bring a lunch and enjoy a pleasant afternoon. There are various other side trials in and around the small town totalling 10 miles if you have the time and energy.
