moderate trail but overgrown in spots. chiggers very plentiful. we were the only ones on the trail on a Sunday morning.
Walked this trail with my 7 year old daughter and it was good for kids. Pretty flat with a bit of elevation change. Which made a good hike for my daughter. Lots of different mushrooms and animal tracks to check out and the trail was marked well. The water was down, so there was a nice beach area near the lake to sit for a snack.
Th trail is overgrown and hard to see in many spots. The grass is high and there are ticks galore!
Beautiful and secluded.
Trail is not at the proper coordinates. I tried to correct but don't know if it will be corrected. Trail is nice for just getting out and doing some light hiking. Its very overgrown and not very well kept. Markers are faded and/or missing. First come/first serve (and free) camp sites are located near by. Also several geocaches located along the trail.
Very nice hiking & camping, you get a fire pit picnic bench, flat area for your tent and a parking spot. trail was very good until the end where it was washed out.
A short 2.2 mile trail around Saddle lake, nice views of the lake. The trail gets really swampy on the eastern end at a back water area, This is partly due to a large beaver dam. Overall I liked the trail, just plan on getting your feet wet. Also I didn't see any other people on the trail, just a couple of people on the lake.
