Parke County: Covered Bridge Capital is a 50 mile lightly trafficked trail located near Rockville, Indiana that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
The weather didn't corporate but it was a great time. The antique shops are wonderful. Everyone there is so friendly. Plan a weekend and explore more of the covered bridges in Park County. You don't have to wait for the festival.

Parke County, which is primarily where the route passes through has over 35 covered bridges in the county. Many of them are still open for traffic. They were quite interesting and at the same time a little monotenous because the same design was used on many of them. There are many other recreational opportunities in the county, hiking, canoeing just to name a couple.
