Elkhart River (North Branch) is a 6 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Wolcottville, Indiana that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for sea kayaking and whitewater kayaking and is best used from April until October.
A shallow, slow moving, gorgeous paddling trip for kayakers. Passes first through dense forest complete with 5 portages around downed trees. The second portion is through Amish farms. Watch out for two fences for cattle. Third section is through gorgeous wetland with one tree portage.
