Salt Creek Trail is a 5.8 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Brookfield, Illinois and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, road biking, and mountain biking and is accessible from April until October.
Most of the trail is paved and flat, and be crowded with dog walkers, walkers, and bikes. We used to live in the neighborhood and regularly walked and jogged on the east-side 2 mile stretch. Access points to the neighborhood streets are plentiful, with only occasional bridges over the creek.
I think its longer than 5.8 miles. Nice uncrowded trail.
Not too busy, mix of bikers, runners and walkers. Well maintained.
Great trails and wonderful scenery!
