Easy hiking, no more than 5 miles long. Trails run through the prairie on the south side of the park and through wooded sections on the northern end. Good hiking for people that cannot tolerate rugged terrain, or for families with small children that cannot do a lot of walking.
Camp sites are nice and appear to be well maintained. Booking can be done online and is somewhat of a hassle as the website is apparently new to them. During camping season there is a host that you check in with and who will drop off firewood to you if you decide to purchase it. Most camping sites are relatively close to the parking areas.
There is one small pond that is not accessible for fishing and you definitely wont want to swim in it. Larger group camp areas can be rented during the off season, but at a rate of $100 per spot. Trails are marked fairly well,

Nice loop hike in the flat lands of Illinois. Have to make the best of what nature has to offer here in the flat suburbs of the Midwest.

good spot for some trail running, as there is some moderate change in elevation (small ups and downs). very accessible and easy parking. there is an adjacent crushed limestone trail to the east that is nice and flat and likely linked to a much larger network (but not sure).

Not a very challenging trail. Most of the terrain is easy. There is one more rugged trail but it was very short. There were however some downed trees on the rugged terrain trail which made my trail run a little more interesting. It was fun to hurdle over the trees and crawl under the branches.
