Short trail near the Carlyle Lake West Spillway Picnic Area. It is a bottom ground trail, can be muddy or flooded. During warmer temperatures, bugs can be an issue. 3/4 mile loop trail through Kaskaskia River Bottom, located near the Carlyle Lake Dam.

Easy trail with wildflower, and some historic structures. All in all nice relaxing walk.

Nice little trail. Tons of birds and wildflowers late May. Bring bug spray!
