Litle Prairie Nature Trail is a 0.8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Carlyle, Illinois that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Short trail near the Carlyle Lake West Spillway Picnic Area. It is a bottom ground trail, can be muddy or flooded. During warmer temperatures, bugs can be an issue. 3/4 mile loop trail through Kaskaskia River Bottom, located near the Carlyle Lake Dam.
Easy trail with wildflower, and some historic structures. All in all nice relaxing walk.
