Beautiful. Backpacked in, stayed one night. First 4-5 miles is fairly easy, last bit is steep in some spots. Beautiful at the lakes, amazing really. Tried to fish, no sign of fish. Some new deadfall. Lots of run off. Narrow trail. Saw mtn bikers on our way out.

One of our favorite places in Idaho. Absolutely beautiful! Gravel roads into campground - best with a four wheel drive truck, but our little Honda CRV made it okay. Not another soul around while we were there. We camped in the campground and hiked in and out the next day. Didn't do the entire trail this trip, but in the past we backpacked in and spent the night along the trail.

Great hike, disappointed not to see some wildlife but wife and I were amazed at the beauty, stark contrast from the lower hills
