Tubbs Hill is fantastic any time of the year! it really is one of Coeur d'alene's gems. winter hiking is beautiful!
Tubbs Hill is a great hiking area. It has an amazing view of Lake Couer d' Alene, and the spectacular resort. Tubbs Hill is not a straining hike but still allows you to get a right in the middle of nature. Do be careful however, since there are some steep drop-offs right off the trail.
The proximity of tubs hill to downtown Coeur d' Arlene makes it more than a convenient place to get away from the town and experience some of the beautiful scenery that Coeur d'Alene has to offer. And it has some pretty awesome rocks to jump from into the lake.
difficulty 1-5 (1)
Tubes Hill is a beautiful and scenic piece of nature right in town. The trails are easy and accessible. Beautiful views of Lake Coeur d'Alene and the surrounding area. One of my favorite near town hiking and swimming locations.
Tubbs Hill is a beautiful Hike with breathe taking scenery. It is an easy hike to complete andit is easy to run or walk if you please. Me and my pup love this hike. In the evenings you can always have a great view of the sunset over the water. It is also great if you are looking for a hike with some beach to stop at or swim.
I do this daily with my dog, it is a great relaxing hike with easy access to multiple cliff jumping spots, explore off trail for added adventure!
I had a stroke a few years ago and still have some paralysis. I was able to complete this trail in about an hour.
This trail is amazing and anyone can complete it. It is a very low intensity trail with and awesome view of the lake and many great swimming locations near the base of the hill. Great for a quick hike with the dogs or family.
I love this trail. It is so convenient having it close to down town. Also the lake view and ability to walk down to the water is not a bad touch either. :)
Tubbs Hill is a great beginners hike. Not too much uphill though. Great for taking dogs! It has some beautiful picturesque areas overlooking the lake. Roughly, takes an hour, but well worth it if you need to quickly get away from it all.
This trail used to be my running loop when I lived closer to it. There is a good variety of hills and flat spots. There is also a variety of different trails all having a different difficulty. This part of the trail really appealed to me to help keep me from getting bored.
However, there are a lot of people. I attempted going around 12 and my run was constantly getting interrupted because of the amount of people. Going in the late afternoon so you finish just before dark, I found was the best time to avoid the masses.
This trail is perfect for all levels of fitness. It provides spectacular views of the lake and there are even a few little beaches along the way to visit.
Tubb's Hill is a great place to grab a quick hike if you are in the downtown area of Coeur d'Alene. It is easily accessed from numerous parking areas in the vicinity. The trail is well-defined and maintained. it is a great place to hike in order to see Lake Coeur d'Alene. It can get a bit slippery in the winter, when the snow gets packed into ice by hikers. Aside from that, the trail is a very civilized one. I have hiked it with my wife on numerous occasions, while still dressed for dinner in the city. It is almost like a rugged city park.
Great views of the lake. Easily done in walking shoes.
