Typically a very busy trail used by young and old alike. There are some very steep sections but also other routes to mitigate these. Cell service throughout entire hike. City overlook over the majority of the hike. Main features "the Cross" and "quarry". Can also drive to top to main view. Little to NO shade, no water, takes an average person about 45mins to 1hr to hike to the top. Hike to the top and return though there are multiple routes you can take up and back.
Great hike near downtown!
It was a moderate trail, a good workout. Getting to the top was rewarding, amazing view of the city of trees. I will definitely do it again when in Boise .
I love this hike
Took my Shepherd and 7 year old son up with me. Great, short hike. Would definitely recommend for a quick afternoon outing.
Great local hike!
Great hike with beautiful views of the foothills and Boise. Especially beautiful at sunset!
The hike itself isn't anything to write home about, but that had a lot to do with the recent fire. The elevation makes this a bit of a challenge, and being out of shape (like me) makes it a butt kicker. The view when you make it is worth it though!
The hike itself starts out a bit steep for young families and the overall hike is a bit ugly, but the view from on top is quite impressive. You can see why the call Boise the city of trees.
