Sqaw Butte is a 6 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Sweet, ID that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Didn't hike at all but old sal the dog greeted us with open hands and an open heart! Glad to see some light in this dark world #blessed

This is a good winter/spring hiking area, both on and off the road. But, I am not sure why dogs are required to be on a leash. In fact, I believe this is a very good place to take your dogs and allow them to run a bit and get exercise, as there are very few people hiking in this area. Wally

Partially on state and private land, should be careful of the shingle rock and snakes. Great hike though.
