Excellent adventure with the grandkids. Be prepared to wait for the next guide.
Very cool cave, had lots of stairs, & and the temperature was 40 degrees, which wasn't too bad if you have a sweater. We took our 2, 8 year old kids and our 3 month old baby boy no problem. The stairs inside have rails so going up and down does have some support. It's worth going if your around the area.
great little tour of the cave. very cold inside, so dress accordingly.
Great guided cave tour. Lots of stairs, somewhere around 444 I believe. From start to finish in the cave it takes about 1h 40m depending on the tour group you are with. Cave tours are limited to 30 people and do sell out on busy weekends so get there early. Cost was $8 per adult and $6 for kids.
Not really a hike, but definitely worth the visit. If you've never been in a cave this is a great one to visit! It's a guided tour in and out of the cave and it's amazing. Gorgeous rock formations and huge open cavernous rooms. One chamber is more than 90 feet tall. Be prepared for consistent 40 degree temps regardless of the time of year. The tour takes 90 minutes so bring a fleece jacket. Also plan on a lot of stairs. Lots of ups and down, but worth every step!
The entrance to the cave is just a very short walk from the parking lot. Inside the cave is amazing with a lot of open areas. There are some cool formations including cave bacon and cave straws. They have formations they named after the seven dwarfs and Elsa's castle from Frozen. There are several sets of very steep stairs coming in and out (444 steps each way), but there are hand rails to help those that need it. It is pretty chilly inside (40 degrees at the very end) so I would recommend a jacket or hoodie even in the summer. You go out the same way you come in. Kid friendly and fine for older people as well. Fun time overall!!
Probably done this 15 plus times in my lifetime, and I'm pretty sure we will do it again.
loved it. the stairs were very steep but it was worth it :)
Super fun.. Bring a flash light
Fun guided tour through a very cool cave. Lots of fun rock formations. Be prepared for lots of stairs
