Homestead (Squaw Creek) Trail is a 5.1 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Boise, Idaho that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October.
I like this trail because it has a great view when you get to the top and it's not difficult at all. The only thing is that this app gives you wrong directions to find it, get on Warm Springs and then turn left of Squaw Creek road and it's at the end of that, they have you go a little too far! Would definitely do again
Very scenic hike of Boise was a little confusing finding the spot also a little bit of a climb. But all in all I'd say a good fun hike went with friends and dogs and everybody had a great time!
Good climb, classic southern Idaho beauty (sagebrush), with some good views. Not very crowded but a pretty even mix of hikers, trail runners, and mountain bikers. Took about 2.5 hours hiking with my six year old daughter, she enjoyed it thoroughly.
