A loop hike to two beautiful alpine lakes in the Frank Church Wilderness A nice hike in the Big Horn Crags area of the Frank Church Wilderness to two beautiful lakes high in a cirque. The hike follows the main access to the Crags area as far as Cathedral rock, then follows the Clear Creek ridge route to the lakes with a return by way of the Waterfall Canyon route. This high route gives beautiful views down on Golden Trout, Cathedral, and Mirror lakes as well as panoramic views of the entire Crags area from Clear Creek, Wilson Creek and Yellowjacket.
I camped on Harbor Lake and fished both Harbor and Wilson Lakes. Beautiful scenery - in the mornings the water is glass and the reflection in the lake is phenomenal. Take a few minutes to hike to smaller lake above Harbor.
Me and my scout troop did this loop last yeah for high adventure. We stayed at harbor and Wilson lake and it was amazing. I loved the scenery and everything. Great hike. Totally worth it all
