This is a great easy hike with constantly changing beautiful views along the shoreline and in the woods. Dog friendly, too, as others noted.
There are more extensive forest service trails than shown on All Trails. In this area, we've learned you need a map!!
An easy trail with plenty of great photo ops of Lake Pend d'Oreille.
Beautiful high with water views that are spectacular the entire way. We had a bit of confusion about whether to start at the top by following the local signs to mineral point or to start at Green Bay campground. Either direction would be great but just a good clarifying note when trying to navigate to the trail head. We started at top and hiked down to the beach and back up. I would recommend either!
Nice trail, beautiful views, and a great beach to swim to cool down. Will definitely come back here.
great hike along the water. some great views.
You can start at either the camping area (at the beach) or drive a couple more miles to the trailhead on a dusty road. Trailhead is 2.5 miles back to beach, and 3.5 miles to lost lake.
Super beautiful spring day. The trail was pretty smooth. The views were beyond beautiful! The end there is a nice picnic spot with tables. Will try lost lake trail next! Not too steep at all!
Love this trail. Easy access, dog friendly with the reward of the lake at the bottom. Gets busy in the summer but as I hike it 3 seasons it does not matter. Good conditioning hike in the spring.
I've hike about 3/4 of this loop trail. Nice trail with great views. Can get crowded. Goes along the ridge through timber and has nice views of Pend O'Reille Lake.
