Puako-Waimea Trail is a 3.6 mile out and back trail located near Kamuela, HI that offers scenic views. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking.
This trail is acctually fairly popular. Its a well maintained paved trail that leads through a recreated Hawaiian village and some old Hawaiian ruins. Its nifty if your into hikes that have historical signigfigance. Their is a large waterfall at the end and used to have a show at the end. Sooooo.... if your into the short walk and show bit its fairly interesting. As far as scenic quality i'd have to say I was disappointed. Only the waterfall was really beautiful. The ruins were interesting, but not what I would call beautiful. The show just made it a tourist trap. But then I was young at the time so maybe I don't remember very well, or I might have caught it on an off day....
