This loop trail starts out relatively easy but the the steep climb just before the Pinhoti trail intersection makes if difficult especially in 90+ degree August weather but well worth the effort. The return section of the loop offers some good views of the upper lake.

Great Trail, opens up in a few places for some great scenery. The trail is not for beginners though. Its pretty steep in some places and other areas are overgrown. But this trail is great for seasoned hikers.
