A walking trail around the lake in Vogel State Park. It features an optional side trail down to a viewing platform for the waterfalls on Wolff Creek. There are exceptional views of Blood and Slaughter Mountains.
This is a nice, easy trail. We did it with 4 kids ranging in age from 12 yrs old to 8 months. We had a stroller for the entire hike except for he walk to the falls.
Hikes it last week. Great warmup trail for the others at Vogel. Make sure to take the short spur to the waterfall.
Easy path around the lake and a nice walk to the falls.
Nice waterfall easy walk
Easy gravel trail. You hike along the lake then there is a little walk to an amazing waterfall. You can't even tell its there until you get there. It's great. There is a little beach at the lake and a tone of places to stop and sit.
Easy (but beautiful) hike with my preschooler while we were camping at Vogel. Completed in the late afternoon in fall, so we had memorable views of the mountains with lowering light and explosions of color from the flora. My child loved being so close to the water, too.
Nice, easy trail around the lake. The park was super busy when we were there. Lots of people cooking out. Make sure to take the trail off the main path down to the waterfall as that's the best part. It's located right at the halfway point.
This is a nice easy 1 mile loop around the lake. At the midway point, there is a waterfall to walk down to which is well worth seeing.
This is a great short walk that is ideal for families or elderly individuals. Make sure to visit the waterfall by taking the side trail before you pass the water dam. Gorgeous waterfall and views, and the lake is beautiful in the spring-summer time.
Super scenic walk around the lake with a spur that leads to beautiful waterfalls created by the lake spill off. We saw a beaver and lots of chipmunks as well as lots of birds. Great for families and photographers.
An excellent short walk around the lake for kids. Beautiful views of Blood and Slaughter mountains.
Beautiful waterfalls at one end of the trail, Trahlyta Falls Spur Trail. Quick walk, good terrain. Worth the stop.
