Anna Ruby Falls Trail is a 0.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Helen, Georgia that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
This is an overcrowded, short 0.4 mile walk on a paved pathway to an overcrowded platform beneath 2 beautiful waterfalls. They are a wonder of beauty, yes... But it's a 10 minute drive on a curvy, slow going road and $3 per person (over 15 yrs old) to enter. This would be a good introductory hike for a family with youngsters.
do it once. very easy. boring every time afterwards. great spot for the elderly.
Great family trail. Beautiful Falls!! Overflowing when we went last year.
Take the trail from the campground if you want a great hike, 10 miles out and back. The falls are beautiful.
A great easy outing. Stop in Helen for lunch or dinner afterwards at Hofbrau.
great first time hike for smaller kids
Short hike, seems longer because of the steep climb up. Very crowded on the weekends. We arrive Saturday at 11 am and the parking lot was halfway full. By the time we left overflow parking was open. People of all ages, shapes and sizes were on the trail. Everyone was cautious and considerate. Dogs should not be allowed on the weekend because of the crowds.
easy hike with some elevation gain. Beautiful area
Short easy hike with our four year old
Lovely waterfall!! Nice observation deck at the start of the trail, cute gift shop and clean restroom facilities also. The trail to the falls is paved but relatively steep. It is a short trail, however. Not really any protective railings for children (saw a lot of parents that really should pay more attention to their young kids). Saw a copperhead snake on the trail as well so be careful :)
Have fun and enjoy!!
Fairly easy hike. Great view.
