The West Orange Trail is a 22-mile (35 km) long multi-use rail trail owned by Orange County Parks and Recreation in Orange County, Florida, in the United States. It passes through downtown Oakland, Winter Garden, and Apopka. Most of it is built on old railroad alignments.
Wonderful out and back bike trip. Stop at crooked can brewery in winter garden.
I used to walk this trail years ago and enjoyed it.
This is a great paved bike trail, but also a great "walking" or jogging trail. I walk from Winter Garden to Oakland and back virtually every Saturday and Sunday. Downtown Winter Garden is quaint with an excellent bike shop and great little mom and pop restaurants, for after the walk. There is also an excellent farmer's market to pick up fruits and vegetables, along with many small vendors, open on Saturday only.
Nice and will be back when the extension is completed
It was so nice
Hands down my favorite paved trail in Florida! I love doing my long runs on this trail! It has frequent clean bathrooms and even tamper-proof water jugs every few miles! This trail is well maintained, and I always feel safe on it.
everything we wanted it to be great mile markers and water stops along the way
Great trail. Did the entire 22 miles. Looking forward to coming back
I took this trail as I left the South Apopka Trail. Some elevation before getting to Winter Garden. Stop for Bar B Que on Main Street.
