Go as far as you want. This trail can go all the way to Florida Bay. With a car shuttle, paddle to Flamingo. Paddling mostly on open lakes.

A shaded boardwalk through the interesting mangroves that briefly escapes to great views from the edge of West Lake. Prepare for the mosquitoes.

This is a nice little trail through the Mangroves. This trail is quiet, cool, shaded and ominously spooky. A nice trail for kids. However, lots of mosquitoes and biting flies. I sprayed down with insect repellent but still had to wrap a towel around my upper body to protect myself. But it was neat.
