This is a 2 mile boardwalk over dunes with a dog trail along side. There are 8 spurs to the inlet, IRS and ocean. There is little shade. There is less traffic midweek. Sunscreen is a must! The trail spurs serve uncovered beach, surfing beaches, fishing, and beaches with & without lifeguards. One tower for viewing. There are many covered picnic tables and outside BBQ.s

This is a great spot to take the dogs on the beach. A little bit of a walk to the ocean but worth it since there's so little spots along the beach that are dog friendly.

Well maintained, has a few turn offs that take you to the river. Beautiful view on Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and the New Smyrna Inlet. Dog friendly :)

Beware!!!! You must pay $10 to enter this park. I wish someone would have told me that. The lady was very rude and unfriendly. This looks like a nice place to spend the day but I wouldn't waste $10 for a 2mile bike ride.

We like taking our dogs here as they are allowed on the boardwalk before 10am. (It's okay if you stay later than that - you just have to walk back on the sand path vs. the boardwalk.) The walk to and from the beach isn't bad but there is indeed little shade. Make sure to bring whatever provisions you need with you - food/fresh water/sun shade. At the parking area there are facilities with vending machines and a wash off station, which was nice for hosing down the dogs after getting all sandy/salty. The view of the Ponce Inlet lighthouse and across the river is nice.
