Flatwoods Trail is a 4.5 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Grayton Beach, Florida. The trail is good for all skill levels and primarily used for hiking, walking, and camping.
Nice flat beach trail in a pine forest. You can check in at Grayton Beach State Park and get a map from one of the Rangers. The trailhead is off of 30A on the north side of the park. Nice views.
Very lovely this time of the year. Nice and flat for people who are more interested in a good nature walk than an intense hike, but lots of pretty stuff to see along the way. The lake is gorgeous. Lots of shady places, but definitely don't forget the sunscreen.
Road Flatwoods trail from 30A to 395. Very nice scenery half trail half road. Trail was good wide easy ride roads were sand pits from ****. Good work out and torture for my 12 yr old. Rewarded in Seaside with a pit stop
Nice trail, but a little confusing as you cross trails a few times and all are blue!
Well maintained, flat, sandy and easy.
Saw a few people while hiking, snowbirds with their dogs mostly. The trail is well marked and easy to follow.
it's located in Grayton Beach across 30A (on the North side) from the State Park.
A friend and I hiked part of this trail earlier this week. The trails were nice, the bugs were minimal (for early August in Florida), and there was nice tree cover in most places. We came across one small snake but other than that, saw no wildlife. I would definitely do it again!
Get to the lake loop for a nice picnic spot on the lake!
Flat beach trail through pine forest.
Rangers say to look out for cottonmouths and rattlers. Didn't see any when I went.
