Cool hike/bike along the Econ River - saw a gator! I wanted to do this hike again to check on the progress of the bridge construction and boardwalk. I also wanted to go down to the point and explore east of the bridge. The bridge and boardwalk are almost complete...should be done by end of year. Then you will be able to go from Flagler Trail to both the Geneva Wilderness area and the Barr Street Trailhead. On the way to the point, I saw a gator in a pond and a heron (peacefully coexisting). There are still a lot of trees down, but the trails are passable. To the east of the bridge I found where the trail connects to the trailhead in the Little Big Econ State Forest. Cool.

uneventful beginning you have to take a trail thats between two raods just to even make to the loop of an actual trail. And its a 50 minute walk of hearing cars going by. again uneventful.

Beautiful sample of Florida nature. There are ample trails that network through this system and pretty much all of the connect. Just make sure that if you cross the river you can find a way back cuz there are only a few bridges.

Nice trail, not as technical as i had hope, very busy on the weekends. Great river views. Trails are not properly mask or some markets are gone, if it's ur first visit take ur time to know route and enjoy the scene.

Nice trail. Started at Flagler Trailhead but cut off to a trail along the river. Turned around at 8 miles... Not sure how far it goes.
