Could not find any break in the overgrown side road. On to Venetian Garden...
It's a nice trail. We went right after hurricane Matthew hit so there was trees and limbs to climb over. We saw wildlife an indigo snake and an armadillo. Downside is all the spiders! So many spiders very large ones.
I just hiked this trail with my mom. We enjoyed it! It is well shaded by trees. The boardwalk is nice. Lots of spiders so beware.
good woody trail
Awesome family trail! Well maintained and lots of wild life.
Not the best trail for trail running, but probably not a bad hiking trail. Lots of roots.
Beautifully kept trails. Even though there had been a lot of rain this winter the trails were dry. Lots of signs of animal activity. Met an Armadillo on the trail and came away with some good pictures. The whole park seemed undisturbed and wild. The raised walk ways were well maintained as well and led to a beautiful bend on the canal.
Great easy hike. Bring bug spray.
Short, nicely shaded hike with lots of mosquitos in August. Didn't see a person while there.
Nice easy walk through local woods. Lots of Sabal Palm and Saw Palmetto. Oak and Cypress can be seen as well. Gopher Turtles in field, Golden Orb Spiders enjoy making thier huge webs for you to get caught in. Squirrels were caught playing a game of tag high up in the tree tops. four mile loop took me about 3 hours, walking at a very slow pace, listening and looking for different things. There is a place to rent canoes and a primitive campground also.
