Blackbird Marsh Trail Fort Pickens is a 0.5 mile loop trail located near Gulf Breeze, FL and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from March until May. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Nice short hike This is a really short hike near one of my favorite places to camp. Fort Pickens is one of the few places you can experience unspoiled beach property. The trail runs through a marsh area near the campsites. There are numerous other places to hike and see historical structures from years past. There is a lot of wildlife including poisonous snakes and pesty raccoons.
Enjoyable trail that I've done a few times
This realy is a nice Little walk, have made it thousand times and never get tired of it.You all ways fined something new.
It seems like every time I hike this trail there are huge mud puddles blocking the way. It seems like this trail is longer than just a half mile. Its fun though. Lots of cool scenery
Flat coastal trail. Lots of very interesting birds (including raptors). Getting there, you walk along part of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Can easily walk to the water as well. Take a tour of Fort Pickens at Gulf Islands National Seashore - the history lesson is very neat.
