Such a great hike up the ledge. Great views of Foxwoods. Very peaceful adventure wandering around the forest. Trails are pretty easily marked.
A great trail. Be prepared for rock inclines and to trust yourself. There was also times the trail was not marked clear. I kept the app close to get back on Trail a few times.
wasn't well marked got lost with my puppy ended up hanging off a cliff do not recommend bringing dog. great hike though
Loved this trail. Awesome viewpoints. Good exercise for me and the puppy!
loved it! beautiful view And nice exercise!
Short and sweet
One of my favorite hikes so far! Tough at points but also easier at times. Many look out points with beautiful views.
Looking to next week. Is there a gate that opens at a certain time, or can you hike at any time?
this trail was a lot of fun, followed the blue trail up the summit. some very nice views at the top and a pretty good workout
Love Lantern Hill! Follow the blue trail straight up to the "summit" or follow the Arrow Head trail around the hill and then up to the summit from the other side. The Arrow Head trail offers a chance to climb on rocks! :-) As a heavier hiker, there was definitely some huffing and puffing, but overall it's an easier hike. Half hour to 45 minutes total either way. Beautiful views! Great family stroll in the woods!
Started at Lantern Hill and followed the blue blaze trail to the Parking area near Rt 201 & Rt 2. Hike was nice and dry although it rained for the previous week. There is some logging/clearing going on and the blazes disappear. Follow the area that is north of the nice pasture near the radio tower. You'll pick up the blazes again where the logging stops. Overall a fun hike.
