Beautiful day for a hike. Winds picked up to 44mph at the castle and along the ridge line. My ankles got a work out due to the jagged rocks along the trail.
One of my most favorite trails to hike. Absolutely gorgeous spring/summer/fall. My dog is able to do it too. Good workout with several points to view.
great scenery and nice workout. not crazy about the last mile and a half on road though
Followed WHITE trail for entire loop. Also took WHITE off shoot trail 0.6mile up and back to castle (this section was rocky and a little steep but worth the extra)
Where is the beginning for this trail
Watch out for the black dog....
It was an easy trial lots a great views of ct and the pond
It was just an OK hike. I would say easy-moderate and is only for beginners. Not a marked trail, there are some pink colored ribbons here and there near the start of the trail. The only payoff is towards the end-scenic view.
Fantastic hike... short ascent, view from the tower is incredible!
