Gem of CT
I'm biased because I grew up here and there is an element of nostalgia but this place truly is magical.
one of my favorites. beautiful year round
Must see in CT
beautiful trail, very easy to get lost and very slippery on wet days!
This place is awesome. There are 6 different waterfalls and many different swimming holes. Just be wary of the days you decide to go because it does get very crowded.
I took my wife here yesterday. The book said easy to the third falls. The upper trail is flat and wide but any of the trails leading down to the falls can be difficult for anyone who is not limber. The falls, at least 5 of them, are pretty with water holes at the bottom for swimming. Very popular place for the younger crowd. At one of the last falls kids were jumping off the cliff plunging in the water hole feet first. The rocks are slippery and it can be potentially dangerous but the place be great fun and the people were friendly and helpful.
Great place to go!
I don't think I can take great grandma here. A gravel "fire road" is being over taken by the wood. To get to the stream its steep and slippery.
Fine for older kids and families too. You can spend an hour or so here with the hike, views and plants & trees.
Great waterfalls .
Absolutely AMAZING! Bring your bathing suit for sure!
This place although a small and easy hiking area is STUNNING. Parking is free accommodates about 7 cars tops. Keep an eye on young children many steep straight down drop offs down to the rocks and water. The waterfalls are an easy 5 minute walk from the parking lot. It doesn't feature just one waterfall it features several 5-6 with different views at the bottom of each. excellent place to listen to the water and enjoy a picnic. one of the most scenic and photogenic Connecticut waterfall spots i have seen and i am a waterfall chaser. Would absolutely return and plan to this summer to see the forest in bloom alongside of the waterfalls.
Someone added a photo that looks as if it's in some sort of concrete manmade cave, I've never seen that at Enders, where would that be located?
Short hike but that's not why we go. We love to jump off the cliffs and swim in the cool water. Much more fun than going to the beach.
Very very short hike lots of downed trees off the beaten path trails if your looking for a day to have a good hike this is not the place- the falls are amazing but we wanted to hike, see falls, hike- but it was all falls people in the water etc not really a hiking trail for hikers
It was gorgeous and easy to walk through.
