Babcock Preserve is a 4.1 mile loop trail located near Greenwich, Connecticut that features a great forest setting. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking and mountain biking.
It's a pleasant walk in the woods that is mad difficult by poorly marked trails (other than the main trail). Trail intersections are not marked at all.
got kind of lost at three middle part, markings were faded and leaves covered the trail. still had fun following the sun and finding my way back. other the the middle part, it was clearly marked. tons of dog walkers, very friendly.
Clean, diverse terrain, well marked, really enjoyed.
Definitely not for mountain biking but great for a very light hike.
It is a big trail but personally i think it is more for hiking! There are a lot of rocks and it is hard to pick up speed. Also, it is very big and hard to get lost, so go with a friend.
Tailhead and lot is here.
