hard but rewarding !
Absolutely awesome. Hard to get to southernmost end of trail south of Breck - need 4WD. Beautiful breathtaking views and climbs. Hiked and ran and will definitely do it again.
Mountain biked from Breckenridge over Wheeler Pass to Copper Mountain years ago. One of the toughest things I've done. Huge elevation gains. Once above tree line it was surreal. All sorts of animals wandering around in the open. The down hill side was, God, please get me off this place in one piece and I'll never do something so stupid. BEAUTIFUL. Big time drops off trail. Trail width at times was a mere 6" wide.
When we got down to Copper, it was, let's go do this again.
The whole trail is beautiful!! Lots of climbing, not much water, but awesome views the from beginning to end!!!
