Great views with some areas to park and take some good photos. Even areas to take short hikes. The dinosaur foot print fossils where interesting. The family enjoyed the drive.

This trail is was overall good experience with a great view, however there are a few things that put it at a 4 star rating. The road is a one way road with no turn arounds and VERY steep cliffs on each side of the road most of the way. I drove up in a bigger vehicle and it was a little nerve-racking on some of the turns. Also, some girls were tailgating us closely, clearly thinking that we should be going faster than 15 mph, which was very annoying. However, once we got to the summit, it was very safe and had an amazing view! You can see all of Cañon City with the Rocky Mountains sounding you. The drive down was fairly easy, but if you plan to go on this trail be prepared to be cautious and responsible to get to that gorgeous view.

It was awesome for an easy beautiful adventure. You get to see cañon city on one side then the Rocky Mountains on the other side! Make sure your driver is focused because the lanes are a bit skinny and it was nerve racking driving up their at first!

This is a one lane one way road. There's no turning around and going back once you start up this road. Once it tops out you drive on top of the ridge and its several hundred feet straight down on both sides. There have been several people run off the road and were killed. A friend of mine was running the top on his Kawasaki 900. There's a section that's like a rollercoaster and he lost control when he topped one of the high spots. They figure that he was doing over 120mph when he left the road and was air born for well over 400 feet and ended up down by hw50. He lived, but was in a coma for 6 months but was never quite the same again.
Anywho, if you or any one else in the car is afraid of heights DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE OVER THIS ROAD.
