Great views. Morning if my fav time to hike.
I woke up before sunrise to do some photography. After photographing some areas on the East of the park, I used the overlook trail to get wide open vistas of the canyon walls and river below. It's a short hike from the road and you are rewarded with breathtaking views. An obvious statement, but be careful where you step. There is scree and larger loose rocks everywhere.
Definitely, one of the over looks you want to see, the painted wall is one of the more famous landmarks of the park. Easy walk
Short walk to see the beautiful wall, a must do!!!
Nice views of the canyon, specially nice are the veining viewed here.
Probably one of the best short hikes from the road. The features on the canyon wall are unreal. Get out and basically stretch your legs and check out the beauty of nature with this hike!
This is a stop along the scenic south rim drive of the National Park. The canyon is narrow and deep. The wonders of nature!
This tiny little overlook trail is underwhelming, but then again it is a tiny little overlook trail, and what your there for is the view, and it is a grand one, the first place I've been that gave me chills. However, I think it took heading to the bottom of the Black Canyon and back on one of the very strenuous 1 mile 2000' drop trails to really give me an appreciation of how massive and beautiful the Painted Wall really is.
Short walk to a view of the canyon
