North Vista Trail (Exclamation Point) is a 1.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Olathe, CO that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible from May until October.
Go hike it! Short and easy with amazing views from the north rim of the Black Canyon of Gunnison National Park. Be careful where you step, lizards and snakes galore with abundant cactus plants.
North Vista is an amazing trail. The view from Exclamation Point is one of the best anywhere, absolutely breathtaking. You can hike beyond here to the top of Green Mountain, which is a little more strenuous but still not too difficult and makes for an out-and-back distance of about 7 miles. I got caught in thundersnow on the way down, which was very cool.
The trip out to Exclamation Point and back is about three miles round trip, but the entire trail covers around 6, with exceptions aerial views of the canyon at the last mile. If you're going to hike this in the summer, do so when it's cooler -- there's relatively no shade here and dehydration sets in fast !
