Relatively new trail system near Golden. A good trail if you want something short and relatively easy. This is a relatively new trail system just built north of downtown Golden. It is fairly short and nontechnical but does offer a climb and some singletrack. It's a good ride if you are short on time and want something easy.
Pretty busy spot. Good for views of Denver.
We went today 2/4/17 and it was very windy. The hike up was steep with several switchbacks but once you get to the top, it's a flat plain. There were spectacular views of the city and nearby reservoirs. It took us 1.5-2 hours to do the loop and went to nearby New Terrain brewery after. Such a fun afternoon!
So good with dogs!
Not a bad trail but much easier than I thought after the initial incline.
Hiked this the day after Christmas. Pretty icy but beautiful scenario. I'd say the hike is easy; but moderate do to the ice.
Nice views of Denver and part of Golden. A bit windy and muddy today but nonetheless fun !
