Lower Cascade Falls Trail is a 0.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Ouray, Colorado that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. Easy walk from close to downtown with a great waterfall (seasonal) From the trailhead simply follow the trail along the stream as it leads you up to the falls. If the stream isn't flowing at the trailhead it's not likely there will be any falls to see at the end. There are several signs along the way to tell you a little about the area and the falls. Bring a rain jacket if you want to get very close to the falls.
You can even go behind the falls. Be careful. Spring is the best time. Lots of water during that time of year.
very easy hike to a beautiful waterfall.
Easy to get to, and nice way to get a little exercise. We were at the base of the falls in no time at all.
short walk from the parking to the falls, great walk for those that can't hike long distances. amazing view of the fall
Nice short little hike, and it's nice and open so you can hike around. Very kid friendly.
Great, short little hike. Good place for kids to explore the rocks, little alcoves, and waterfall. Easy to hike right from downtown.
Beautiful, went 4th of July very crowded.
Fairly easy walk from the parking lot or even from Main Street. Very accessible for most hikers. Will definitely be back with the kids.
If you are in Ouray and you do not go see the falls you missed one of the best things that is at your fingertips. Nice to cool off in the heatwave.
Great short hike for kids! Really impressive waterfall! I go to it on every visit to Ouray.
Just beautiful! So much to explore
It's a sweet waterfall and you can climb up a little ways to get right under it!
