Interlaken is a 8.7 mile out and back trail located near Granite, CO and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and snowshoeing and is accessible from December until February.
Relatively easy hike with little elevation gain. My GPSer logged 5.5 miles from trailhead to resort and back.
Beautiful scenery along this trail that runs along the twin lakes. Pretty easy with relatively no elevation gain or loss. There are small areas with a little climb. Deserted resort at Interlaken at about 2.4 miles in. Worth checking out. Beautiful mountain views of Mt. Elbert and the surrounding peaks.
Great easy day hike with some great views of Twin Lakes. Buildings at the site have been well preserved and there are several historical markers.
Great Hike for families with young children! It's about 4.6 miles to the Resort and back, which was a perfect distance for the kids (and me!)
I love Twin Lakes and this is a fun trail. Part of the Colorado Trail/Collegiate West Trail. Had fun exploring. Check it out.
Easy trail with wonderful views. Great for beginners.
Really nice, easy hike. The historic homes are about 2.2 miles in, and worth seeing. A few mountain bikes passed us at around 11am, but not too crowded. The water and views are beautiful.
Beautiful hike and excellent for flatlanders adjusting to the altitude. It is about 5 miles to Interlaken and back. It's a nice trail for dogs and it is loaded with Aspens.
Great trip! Loved the sights. The road to get there is a little rough, but worth it. The historic buildings were fun to check out.
Beautiful easy trail for hiking, especially in early September when the Aspens are starting to change color. We mountain biked around Twin Lakes, which was about 14 miles and included some highway biking, but overall was a fairly easy ride with beautiful terrain. The hike takes you along the lake to some abandoned buildings but you could continue on hiking if you wanted to do more.
Nice hike along south side of Twin Lakes to some old abandoned buildings with lots of history as stated on signs there!
