Hogback Ridge Summit Trail is a 4.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Colorado Springs, CO that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
The Foothills Trailhead is located about a half- mile north of Hwy. 36 and Broadway on the dirt North Foothills Hwy. frontage road.
There is nothing moderate about this trail IF you hike regularly. It is touristy so perhaps the moderate label is applied using non-hikers as a baseline.
The best for west side riding!
Decent hiking. Fairly easy. Even the trails labeled difficult weren't that challenging. We hiked most of the trails in Red Rock Canyon Open Space in one afternoon.
great area to explore, can be crowded on the weekends, bring water!
Trials were nice, a lot of rock climbers as well as easier climbs for the little ones. Very crowded so if your looking to feel alone and a little lost this would be ideal. Very family friendly however for those looking for an easy fun hike with their children or pups.
Good hike in an open space. Lots of loose granite so wear good shoes.
Nice trail. Scenic. Lots of horse poop though.
My boyfriend and I have hiked in red rock canyon many times - there are many trails you can take to keep it fresh. Some trails are through forest, and some go through the prairie. The views of the canyon are gorgeous, and can vary from east to moderate. The hogback trail can be taken up onto a rocky uprise for a good view of the springs, and it is overall an easy hike.
This was fun !
Awesome trails for Mountain Biking and so many options. Its totally worth a try. Not the best scenery though but its got its places. Also terrain park at entrance..so yeah.

Nice and easy hiking trails; have done several of these. It's been a couple years but we plan to go back soon since there are many more Geocaches placed in the area since we last hiked here.
Just a nice easy walk/hike. Have done it all weather conditions.
This whole area is awesome there are so many side trails and routes that you can vary your hike every time you go out.
Great place to hike with the kids. Several rock cutouts from the quarry days are funn to explore. Lots and lots of trails and not too many people.
