Creedmore Lakes is a set of three lakes with a number of hiking trails in the area. Bears are known to be in the area for those choosing to camp.
Good place to set up a tent for the night. The road to the lake is pretty rough and you need high-clearance 4WD. Very peaceful and quiet, some easy walking trails between the lakes as well.
Very easy, and great for families. Not super great fishing or scenery. If that's what you're looking for, I recommend going off trail and exploring some of the rock formations nearby. That's where you can really find some beautiful views. I've posted a couple pictures of the third lake from one of those formations.
Awesome spot, kind of out in the middle of no where, pretty rocky but lots of open space with prime campsites. lots of already made fire pits which made building the fire much easier. the dogs really enjoyed the lake which is very well stocked with fish, definitely ganna bring some fishing gear next time. The road out to the trail head gets pretty steep and rocky, esp on the last 50 yards, I wouldn't recommend going down unless you've got 4wd and decent clearance. I drive a 2013 Dodge Journey AWD and it made the trip down no problem suprisingly enough. Didn't really see any wildlife which was okay because we had 3 large dogs with us but Def a spot worth checking out and spending a day or two
This was a last minute overnight camping trip for us. Our car couldn't make it to the parking lot, but it was a super short walk to the trailhead. We found a camping spot right on the water even though we arrived late Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend.
All camping spots were full, but it was still really relaxing. We hung our hammock next to the second lake and just hung out. I would definitely recommend you check it out. Beautiful views and enjoyable drive.
Side note, the hike to the first lake is pretty short so you could get away with car camping gear if you're good with making a second trip.
Great scenic area, lots of moose!! Very secluded. Easy hike.
Nice little lake with some decent camping areas, clear water, and a nice beach. We arrived on Sunday and were pretty regularly sharing the lakes with weekend fishers or hikers. On Monday we didn't see anyone all day. Carrying everything in and out wasn't much fun, as we only have "car camping" gear right now, but it's at least not too far of a hike. The wind really sweeps through the lake area and there's a fair amount of litter (broken glass, etc) for an area that you can't drive to. As for fishing: we didn't catch anything and didn't see many caught. Still, this is a nice quiet place to do some camping, fishing, and hiking.
